| Catherine L. Tully has been involved with dance for over 34 years as a performer, choreographer, classroom instructor, lecturer, photographer and educator. She has taught classes for 20 years, both in the United States and Japan, and has served as the Outside Europe Representative for the National Dance Teachers Association in the United Kingdom. Catherine has served as a dance instructor in the Fine Arts Department of an all-girls college preparatory school and also as an adjunct professor in the Human Performance Department at a private university in Illinois. Holding a BA in Exercise Science and Fitness Management, she has studied dance under teachers such as Maria and Marjorie Tallchief, Inessa Alexandrovich (Bolshoi trained) and various faculty at Hubbard Street Dance Companys Lou Conte Dance Studio. Catherine has performed at The Auditorium Theatre in Chicago among others, and in hundreds of places in northern Japan. Her background is most extensive in Ballet, but she has also studied Irish Step Dance (Medalist in Chicago Feis), Jazz dance and Russian character dance. |
